How to Order:
STEP 1: Plan Your Layout
Examine your playfield(s) and determine:
1) How many inserts you want to illuminate
2) What types of inserts your playfield uses
We highly recommend our Basic RGB Illumination Kit (Screw-On Type Caps), which includes:
1 RGB Light Strand
1 Wall Hanger Bracket to Hang the Playfield
50 Adjustable 1" Screw-On Insert Caps (to hold the lights to each insert) - (**Screws NOT included)
10 Light Cover Caps (to cover any unused lights)
This kit includes everything needed to illuminate up to 50 inserts on most playfields.
Installation uses existing lamp screw locations with #6 × 3/8" sheet metal screws (not included, but available separately).
STEP 2: Order What You Need
See what additional items may apply to your setup:
More than 50 inserts?
Each light strand includes 50 RGB LEDs. Order additional strands and insert caps as needed.
Need screws?
Add #6 × 3/8" sheet metal screws to your cart if you don’t already have them.
Unused lights?
Use Light Cover Caps to block unwanted light behind the playfield.
Need more reach?
Add a 6-foot extension cord if your playfield is far from an outlet.
…AND YOU’RE DONE!
FAQ:
Q: My playfield doesn’t have screws on it I can use with the Wall Mount Bracket or “Adjustable Screw On Caps”. What screws should I use?
A: We recommend using #6 3/8” sheet metal screws. We have those available to purchase. Simply add them to your order!
These screws are the same size screws that are used to hold down lamp sockets to the bottoms of playfields. If you’d like to use a different screw, just make sure to place the screw along the edge of the playfield to make sure it’s not longer than the playfield thickness. We don’t want to add any new holes to the pretty side of the playfield! 😉
Q: My playfield has more than 50 inserts I would like to have illuminated.
A: Although uncommon, some playfields can have more than 50 inserts. You have a few options:
Option 1: You could leave it the way it is and choose which inserts you'd like to have lit and leave others unlit.
Option 2: You could buy another strand of lights and extend the number of lit inserts to 100. You can then either cap the unused lights on the extra strand (using our Light Cover Caps) or use them to start lighting up inserts on another playfield placed adjacent to your current playfield (splitting an extra light strand between two playfields).
